Travel & Stay

Travel & Stay

Location
Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo

Urbino, Italy

Urbino, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is situated amidst the Apennines, approximately 30 kilometers from the Adriatic coast. The town is only accessible directly by car or bus; there is no train service.

How to get there

We highly recommend renting a car to fully enjoy your trip. With a car, you can easily explore the area at your own pace.

For a convenient journey to Urbino, fly into Bologna's G. Marconi Airport, just a two-hour drive away. This major international airport hosts numerous airlines and has all major car rental companies, including Budget, Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise, as well as several European and Italian ones like Sixt and Europcar.

If a direct flight to Bologna is unavailable, consider flying to Milan, Florence, Rome, or Venice, then take a train to Bologna and rent a car there.

Alternatively, you can reach Urbino by train and bus from Bologna. The Marconi Express runs from Bologna Airport to the Central Station. From there, take a train to Pesaro, with hourly departures. In Pesaro, frequent buses (every 30 minutes) run to Urbino from 6:25 AM to 8:30 PM, with a single ticket available through Trenitalia.

Truffles:

Visit Acqualagna, a key truffle region near Urbino, famous for its large truffle festival every fall.
